5 Dreams Meme

I was tagged by Choc Mint Girl I've never done a meme before so here is my best shot.
The rules are as follows:-'Write five things you want to be when you grow up. Big dreams that seem like folly, but in your heart of hearts are very real and dear to you. Things that maybe you have forgotten about in the ebb and flow and toil of the everyday, but that never really leave your soul. What you would do if anything was possible?Spend some time day dreaming…and then post them on your blog, passing the idea along to 5 others...because sometimes we need to pause and remember our dreams. Maybe just saying them out loud will help you discover little ways you can make them happen. You can write about that, too.'I don’t know if I’m breaking the rules, but these are the 5 things that I ‘wanted’ when I was young…

1. I use to love the movie Space Camp (actually I still like it) but I use to want to be an astronaut. I told my mom about this dream not to long after the shuttle Challenger exploded. It scared her so bad, Then I remembered I'm scared of heights lol. The farthest I got with that dream was I started a club at my Junior High School for Young Astronauts.

2. I also use to want to write childrens books or mystery books. My favorite author growing up was R.L. Stine The Fear Street Series.

3. I use to dream of being a choreographer. I loved to dance, I'm just good enough at it...

4. I also wanted to be an artist, I love to draw cartoon like stuff. but I can never get to paper waht I'm thinking. I do better looking at other stuff & trying to copy it.

5. My biggest dream was to be a mother. I'm actually living that one. I have the million dollar family. A husband I love dearly , one son, and one daughter who I love more than anything else.

I would love to tag : Stacy , don't really have anyone to tag yet I'm new to this and hoping to get better.

New Pledge Of Allegiance

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

I seen this online and I just totally agree with what it has to say. These things need to change.

Date night

Well Friday night my hubby took me out to celebrate my birthday. I took the kids to the sitter's for the night, then i came back home to pick him up. (he took a nap since he had gotten up at 4 in the morning for work. ) After he got dressed we took off to go eat supper. He took me to the Real Hacienda. The food was okay, but I don't think I would go there again anytime soon. After we ate we went to the mall to walk around for a bit. He ended up getting a new pair of tennis shoes (he needed them real bad). And he got me a manicure kit. We walked around the mall for a while then he took me out to a club. He bought me roses. We just sat and talked and listened to the music, But I had a blast.

Mayonnaise Jar and Wine

My father-in-law forwarded me this email. I just loved what it had to say and it is so True. I just had to share it.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a
day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 glasses of wine...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of
him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the
students if the jar was full. They
agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.
He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the
golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of
course, the sand filled up everything else He asked once more if the jar was
full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two glasses of wine from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space
between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you To
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things; your family, your children, your health, your friends, and
your favorite passions; things that if everything else was lost and only
they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and
your car.

The sand is everything else; the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for
the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your
time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things
that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to
your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time
to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first;
the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the wine represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no
matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of
glasses of wine with a friend."

Just rambling...

Well not a lot has happened in the last couple days. I attempted to make my mom's potato soup. It wasn't as good as hers but I think I got close. I got a birthday present from Coolaid and my in laws gave me $20.00, My hubby got me perfume which I asked for and he is going to take me out Friday night to celebrate. The perfume was Lady Stetson and Chantilly.

My kids just wished me a happy birthday and a lot of my online friends sent me some kind pic that said Happy Birthday. My hubby also took us out to dinner, over all my day wasn't bad.

Today while I was doing the dishes my daughter(3 years old this past Sunday) came into the kitchen saying "mommy, mommy" , I looked at her and said "what?" then she said "I love you so much!", I replied the same about to cry. She is so sweet and lovable. It really made my day.

I'm finally slowly getting housework done after being in a cast for the last 6 weeks. (I broke my right wrist) My wrist still hurts but I'm doing my physical therapy for that, but the fact that I can now do housework and try to get this house caught up is something for me. Well sorry my rambling seems to be in all directions but I just had to get this down. Hope everyone has a blessed day.
