New Year's Tradition Tag
Tag: New Year’s Tradition
Crystal tagged me with this New Year's meme about my New Year's good luck traditions a few days ago and I just got the chance to do this one. Okay, here goes:
Rule:Copy the person and persons' names that sent it to you and add your own at the bottom of the list. It really helps to build community.Let's start it here!
*My mom used to collect some coins and when the new year comes she put the coins in a bowl and shake it to create sounds. She said its good luck for money throughout the year. And also wearing dotted dresses on new year don't know why. CC/chalyza/keep
*My old folks always told us to avoid spending money on new years day. They said, once you spend on the first day of the year, you like to spend the rest of the year.Behind d Scenes of ME/ Retchel’s Pure Life/ A little bit of me
*I grew up believing that if you have some money on your pocket (whatever you're wearing) come New Year's eve it will ensure steady flow of income throughout the year. The other belief is that the main door of the house should be wide open come New Year's eve so that good luck will be ushered in. Juliana of MY WORLD and JULIANA’S LAIR.
*I don't know if what I am about to write is a new year's tradition or not. In my place, most people will 'jump' into the sea or take a shower as soon as the clock strikes to 12 in New Year's Eve to get rid of all the bad lucks in the previous year. ;D ~ CHOC MINT GIRL~
*I grew up believeing you have to eat cabbage on New Year's Day to bring you good luck throughout the year.Wierd I know but that is what I was taught. Michelle of Rusin Roundup.
I'm going to tag Stacy of My Thoughts.

3. ...My old friends and new friends--- All have been encouraging, helpful and there for me when I need them.
4. ...Blogging--- it has helped me to get out and share my life with others around the world and it helps me to be creative.
5. ...job--- even though I work at the evil big box store (Wal~Mart), I am thankful for being able to work.
6. ...to be researching my Faith in the Lord. It wandered when I lost both of my parents and other issues I had over the past few years but I slowly feel it coming back.

While looking thru everyone's blogs I ended up at Liquid's of Liquid Illuzion. She did the handwriting quiz I had up and left this compliment on her post about my blog.
"You need to check out this chicks page....

Thank you so much for the post and I really enjoy her page also. If you haven't seen her page yet check it out, she has lots of intersting things on her page.

What does your handwriting say about you?
| What Your Handwriting Says About You |
![]() You are a laid back person with rather low energy. You aren't lazy... you *are* sensitive and empathetic. You range from very outgoing to very shy. You are a shapeshifter who is very versatile. You adapt well, and you look at things from many angles. You are very detail oriented and meticulous. You are a careful thinker and a true intellectual. You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well. You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart. You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous. |
