Photos from camping
Over the weekend we went camping one of my favorite things to do. While there I decided to try to get some nature shots, heres what I got.
I think I'm finally getting the settings down on my camera LOL :)

Graham's July Challenge
I'm a little behind getting this post up but I have been really busy. I finally decided to make a recipe I haven't made in a long time for this challenge. My mom taught me this recipe years ago. She called it Taco Goode. Below are Graham's Guidelines followed by the recipe and my photo. Hope you enjoy!!!! I apologize ahead of time for the fuzzy photo's but my hands hav been a bit shaky lately.
Guidelines
Just to recap, the guidelines for the challenge are as follows:
1) Take a photograph that in some way, manner or form represents the theme of "Food". You are welcome to use your artistic touch to manipulate the photograph using a photopackage such as photoshop. Be as creative as you desire!!! You are even welcome to sumbit a video clip, if that is your preferred media.
2) Include a brief explanation of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. The photograph doesn't need to be outside, it can be of somebody or of something around the home.... it just needs to represent the theme of the month.
3) When you have posted your challenge, be sure to send me a link so that I can include it on my "July Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!
4) You want to join in with the challenge but don't have a blog or website to display your photograph on? No problem, just email me copy of the image, along with your name and a brief description of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. I will then include your entry on my "July Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!!!!!
Taco Goode
Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 can refried beans
lettuce (chopped)
tomato (diced)
1 pkg shredded cheese
Brown hamburger till cooked thoroughly . Add taco seasoning according to package directions. When taco seasoning and hamburger are done stir in the refried beans till heated and mixed well. Place in a cake pan spread out like you would cake batter; add lettuce ,tomato and cheese on top. Serve with nacho cheese dorito chips.

Up in Smoke
I found out earlier this month that my old childhood home burned down. I had an old neighbor go over to the house with me so I could take some pictures. When I walked into the yard I had a wall of childhood memories hit me like a brick. All of the good, the bad and the ugly memories. Here are the pics.
This is the front of my old house! The porch used to be enclosed.
This is the back of my old house. The garage use be open and used only as a carport. I also use to climb out the upstairs window to sunbathe on the porch roof.
This picture is looking into the picture window. There use to be a dividing wall where the first arrow to the left is. The second arrow shows the staircase. The third arrow shows somrthing added that wasn't there when i lived there. The other arrows are pointing to the doors to other rooms.
In this picture you can see to windows towards the front. These use to be my old bedroom windows.
At some point I will talk of some of the memories I have of living there. I'm just not quite ready for that yet. I'll try to find some old pictures of the inside.
